My own daughter is getting married in a few months, and her biggest problem right now if finding a venue. We don’t have a church home, which is too bad – in our part of the country, most girls get married in their “home church”, providing the most perfect venue for a wedding. You can probably get a discount on lodging for your wedding party if they stay at the hotel in which you are getting married. You also will have access to the dining, as most hotels not only have a fine restaurant, but will provide catering services, as well. There are usually conference rooms available, and the hotel staff will set it up for your reception. The ceremony will be private and beautiful.

The sophistication of marquees has revolutionized wedding ceremonies. Now, you can get married just about anywhere. Public parks, national monuments, and your own back yard are now “fair game” as venues for your wedding.
